Classes are ending
We are winding down on classes. Last night was the last Spanish class. We spent quite a lot of time with Dora. We think our Spanish, overall is much ore solid. By no means fluent. But we can understand the spoken language much better. We know when people are talking about the gringos! Improving the listening skills was a major goal. It should help us in Columbia. Speaking is another matter. We are better but still lack proper pronunciation, etc. Practica pratica.
Wegave Dora pottery piece from Yokiko in Watkinsville and some money. She gave us two videos. One is with Lolita Hecheviarra. Look her up on the internet. Her great song is Caraway. The other is a video of Julio Jaramillo. Jaramillo is a famous ecudoriano musician. The video is of his life story. His life was very short. He died of excess in his thirties. He is revered in Ecuador, even though he achieved his fame outside of Ecuador, primarily, in Columbia. Mi Maestro dice, he fathered some thirty children. Well, he was happy during his thirty years on earth. Mi Maestro is teaching me some of his songs. Most notably, Nuestra Juramento.
I have been practicing this song for two weeks. I have problems con el ritmo. Tomorrow is mi class ultima. Necisito praticar mucho esta niche.
Mañana, Becky va Las Cajas. Va a ir solo. No me gusta otras excursiones a las montañas. Ella debe tener muchos fotos bonitos.
En dos dias - Los Galapagos.
